Hello,
I need to do some operations on my hard drives
I just wanted to know if it is possible to connect them via SATA while the PC is on, or if shutting it down is mandatory?
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
If you want to have issues with the read/write heads of hard drives, avoid plugging them in hot.

It is not enough to turn off the PC; you need to unplug the power cable before doing anything inside.

In this case, the ideal is to use a docking station; hot plugging and unplugging is indeed risky.
