Reattaching a key: good or bad idea?

Hello,
The Z key on my laptop has come loose, the clips on the key (in red) have broken from wear and tear, so it’s impossible to reattach the key. I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to glue the key directly to the cone with a small dot of strong glue, and if not, what glue should I use?
(It’s obviously impossible to claim the warranty, the laptop is over 5 years old)

Thanks in advance!
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 43.0.2357.124

Hello,
In my opinion, it's not a good idea.
The mechanism is complex. The cone must be made of rubber to ensure the ascent.
You could try with a little piece of used chewing gum ;-)

Thanks for the suggestion; it gave me the idea to put small dots of blue tack on two of the four clips. The touch now works more or less correctly for a makeshift solution like this!
