Decrypt an audio recording

Hello,
I have a low-quality audio recording made with a USB voice recorder. I tried to improve the quality with Audacity but I couldn’t make the dialogue discernible.
Would anyone know of a more effective software or someone with professional equipment who could do it for me?

    If the recording is very, very poor, it may be hard to “improve” the quality so easily...

    There exists Adobe Audition (but paid), which is very powerful for audio file processing (it is moreover widely used in the content production field).

    What do you mean by “poor quality”? Are the dialogues very distant? Is there static over it?

    Regarding the recording, it is a low-volume exchange between two people in a shopping mall, so there is a lot of ambient noise.
    I just downloaded Adobe Audition this weekend, 1 month free trial, but I haven't had time to look into it yet.

    The recording is 7 MB; I can try to send it to you, Au-bon-partage-harmonieux.

    Thank you "Au-bon-partage-harmonieux" for your help, but unfortunately the dialogue is difficult to hear. If there is a sound engineer in the community who could help me, it would lift a big weight off the person who gave me this recording.
