Hello
my husband downloaded a trial software to convert video files and as usual, he installed it without unchecking all the crap apps that come with it! Anyway, so far I’m used to it, usually it just limits to some unwanted search bars, but not this time!!
So I had OurSurfing on all my web pages, and I think I managed to get rid of it by changing the settings in Chrome and Mozilla and by deleting all the shortcuts to replace them with clean ones.
But I ended up with a Chinese software, I suppose (I can't read it), it has a blue triangle logo that runs in the background and opens a window at startup in the bottom right, like a weather app!
I can't use AdwCleaner, it stops before the end, and Malwarebytes and Spybot don't remove it! I ran JRT which worked for nearly 3 hours, but I can't read the report.
Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

    Start with this:

    Follow the AdwCleaner tutorial https://www.malekal.com/adwcleaner-supprimer-virus-adwares-pup/?t=33839&start= (by Xplode)
    Download it to your desktop or downloads folder.
    Run AdwCleaner, click on [Scan].
    The scan may take several minutes, be patient.
    Once the scan is complete, do not uncheck anything, click on [Clean]

    Once the cleaning is finished, a report will open. Copy/paste the content of the report into your next response by copying/pasting.
    If that doesn't work, use the site http://pjjoint.malekal.com to host the report, provide the link to the report in a new message.

    Note: The report is also saved under C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt

    then:

    Follow this FRST tutorial: https://www.malekal.com/tutoriel-farbar-recovery-scan-tool-frst/
    (and take the time to read in order to apply it correctly - everything is explained there).
    Download and run the FRST scan, it will generate three FRST reports:
    • FRST.txt
    • Shortcut.txt
    • Additional.txt

    Send, as explained, these three reports to the site http://pjjoint.malekal.com and return the three pjjoint links that lead to these reports here in a new response so that we can review them.

      Thank you for your response, but as I mentioned, I can't even run AdwCleaner; when I launch it, a window opens saying "incorrect function"!
      I will go directly to the second step.

    It's Tencent the antivirus he installed.
    Plus there's already Rising with Avast!.

    AV: ???????? (Enabled - Up to date) {6F9C3F92-B625-0E47-F0B1-447602EC65F5}
    AV: Rising Antivirus (Enabled - Up to date) {DBC966C2-BD90-87CD-5A01-4DFB1D2EC867}
    AV: avast! Antivirus (Disabled - Up to date) {17AD7D40-BA12-9C46-7131-94903A54AD8B}

    with Spybot on top.

    I think the best thing is to do a system restore to a date prior to the installation of all this.
    => https://www.malekal.com/restauration-systeme-windows/

    Then uninstall Rising if it's still there.
    The same goes for Spybot, not super effective.

    Basically keep only Avast!.

    Thank you for your help, but the restoration isn't working; I can't get rid of Tencent, and everything is in Chinese characters, so even when it opens, I don't know what to click to
    close it!

    I hope we will have a stable computer after all this.
    Rising antivirus, you should be able to uninstall it, it should be listed in the programs.
    Also uninstall Spybot.

    Do a ZHPCleaner cleanup: https://forum.malekal.com/viewtopic.php?t=48954&start=

    Here is the correction to be made with FRST.
    You can refer to this explanatory note with screenshots to help you: https://www.malekal.com/tutoriel-farbar-recovery-scan-tool-frst/#fix

    Open Notepad: Windows key + R, in the run field, type notepad and OK.
    Copy/paste the following into it:

    Back on the tablet because since the last manipulations I have lost Wi-Fi connection on my desktop PC! Yet in the system the card is not disabled
    And I still have that damn Tencent antivirus
    I just did a restore without success!

      In fact, if the Wi-Fi card is disabled, well, not exactly, the error code is as follows: "Windows cannot start this device..... Configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged."

      I'll be back later; I'm going to move my PC closer to the router to disable the Wi-Fi card and reinstall it! My tablet will stay connected in case of any changes.

      I’m not surprised about the internet connection.
      Antivirus programs are loading slowly, so manually removing them causes issues.

      Try this: https://forum.malekal.com/viewtopic.php?t=29460&start=
      hopefully it helps.

      I think this is unfortunately the best solution.

      When you install applications, read carefully and decline all additional programs.
      Otherwise, you'll be bothered afterward.

      A few tips:

      To prevent malicious sites, you can install Blockulicious: https://forum.malekal.com/viewtopic.php?t=46656&start=

      To avoid getting tricked again.
      Read - PUPs / Adware: https://www.malekal.com/adwares-pup-protection/
      (Make sure to enable LPI detections to identify adware and potentially unwanted programs)
