Good evening,
Which version of W8.1?
Have you already installed all the features?
Are you the administrator of your PC?
Do you possibly have the installation DVD?
Details don't cost anything and can help you :-)

I have activated 64-bit Windows 8.1 Professional in French. Yes, I have the installation DVD and I used it yesterday to update my Windows. When I try to add features through the control panel, I get the following error message:

P.S. How can I install features if I don't have access to them...

Try starting in Safe Mode and attempt to install these features in that environment.

Since we have the same version of Windows, I would like to know what it says for you when you go to 'Control Panel' and click on 'Add features to Windows...'

It asks me if I want to use the feature, I confirm by clicking OK, and the list of available (enabled or disabled) features appears and I check those I want to add :-) but you have to go through Programs and Features in the Control Panel as I mentioned earlier!
ps: I don't have the Pro version but the Home one.

If you're talking about the feature accessible from the Windows Update screen, it's normal because that link allows you to upgrade your W8 version to a higher version, and in my opinion, you already have the highest one with the Pro version!
However, if it's to add non-default installed features, you need to go through the control panel and go to Programs and Features and choose to turn Windows features on or off!
See you later!
