Razer Kraken 7.1 Headset Crackling

Question

Hello, I have a Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma headset since yesterday, and the problem is that there is a crackling sound in both ear cups.
The crackling only occurs when sound is coming from the headset; when there is no sound, there is no crackling.
I have read on several forums that I need to connect the USB with an adapter to a power outlet, but the Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma only connects via USB.
I have already tried all USB ports, but it doesn't change anything; the crackling is still there.

I think someone else has experienced the same problem as me, so if you could find me a solution, I would be grateful.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 43.0.2357.81

I found the solution!!!!!! If you have Razer Kraken Chroma like me! Just go to Razer Synapse > Lighting and in Logo you need to stop the "color cycle." And there you go! (static doesn’t crackle)

Clearly, if you only got it yesterday, send it back to customer service immediately and ask for a refund... For that price, you might as well go for good equipment and reliable brands, preferably.
Razer, Tritton, and the like are unfortunately not known for the quality of their products or their reliability.

Hello, I have constant crackling noises 24/7, impossible to get rid of them. It’s a small sound but very annoying and it really spoils the purchase. I haven't found any answers to this problem so far.

Having had the same problem, I searched in the Razer Synapse software, available on their site.
It turns out that, like with most backlit headsets, the lighting effects emit a slight crackling, which is low but really annoying. Therefore, you just need to set the "logo" function to "disabled" in the lighting menu.

Of course, you won't have the lighting effect of the headset anymore, but you also won't have the crackling.

Hello, I think the problem simply comes from an update of Razer Synapse because I have the same issue with my headset, but I can't disable the Razer logo lighting. I just have to open a random application and mute it on the software to get rid of the buzzing. I believe the problem will be fixed in the next update.
