Hello,
This is the first time I'm posting a message here, often looking for answers to my IT questions. For once, I really don’t know what to do at all.
Let me explain:
I bought last year some CPL Lea Plug And Play (the minis). I connected them to an Orange box and everything worked perfectly.
- 1 Plug connected to the wall with the box plug connected to it via an ethernet cable (from the CPL plug to the box)
- 1 Plug connected in my bedroom (which is on the ground floor) starting from the wall and connected to my computer via a cable.
Anyway, the usual procedure: Unpairing by pressing the button for 12 seconds > resetting the plugs and finally pairing again by pressing for 2 seconds on each one after the other.
On the Orange box, it worked (3 lights on: left green // middle green/orange or red // right green)
Today the box has changed > SFR for fiber optic.
I reconnected my plugs EXACTLY in the same procedure to this new box after doing a new pairing of my plugs (just in case).
PROBLEM:
Middle light off (the one confirming my plugs recognize each other)
It is off when plugging in one upstairs and the other in my bedroom.
During pairing, my plugs recognize each other.
Where does the problem come from???
I made sure during pairing to put them on a power strip with no other connections.
MOREOVER:
My computer no longer recognizes the home network > the network appears as public.
I checked the TCP ports and my IP, 8.8.8.8 // 8.8.4.4 Normal?
My connection states: Invalid IP address.
I looked at my different types of connections: I created a new network called network 5 to test. Of course, I need an ID and a password.
Maybe asking for the box login?? seems confusing to me.
I saw that some people had problems with SFR and the CPL???
Can someone help me!!!

Hello :)
For pairing, the most effective way is to plug the powerline adapters into the same wall outlet using a power strip to which only the adapters will be connected.
During the pairing operation, do not connect the box or the PC; the RJ45 network ports should not be connected, as the electricity will serve as the network.
Best regards-
So the problem would come from the fact that the box (upstairs) is plugged in and that my power strip (10m away) on the ground floor picks up the current going through my second plug?? I can't try it yet but I find it strange because on my Orange box (even plugged in) the plugs could pair on the power strip from more than 10m away.
- Hello;
the box does not come into play during pairing, whether it comes from SFR, ORANGE, or FREE...
Pairing involves getting each of the plugs to recognize each other via the electrical network.
The distance from one room to another does not matter; it is the structure of the electrical wiring that will determine the path the network will take.
The solution I proposed to you takes a maximum of 10 minutes...
Likewise, your IP addresses will be invalid as long as the pairing is also invalid, since it is the pairing that makes the network operational.
