Selection/filter for the last 12 months

Hello,

I am a beginner in using Excel and I need your help.
I have a source Excel data file containing a Date column (format DD/MM/YYYY) and a Month column (which extracts the month from the date column in letters).
I have created a pivot table representing the number of parts that have failed for each month of a given year (I applied a filter for the year).

The problem: I want to filter the number of parts that have failed over the last 12 months. If this is possible, how could I do this by filtering directly in the pivot table?
If this is not possible, how could I do this in the source data file?

    Hello,

    Have you tried doing it directly on the date => right click => group and select year?

      I'm sorry, I didn't explain my problem well...
      From the data list, I created a pivot table with the different months of a given year in the columns (I set the year as a report filter) and in the other column, the number of pieces that broke down.
      I would like to be able to filter/select the last 12 months from today's date, if possible directly on the pivot table; if not, how could I achieve this without using macros/VBA?
