Hello,

I've read a lot of topics on this subject, but my problem is still not resolved.

I recently bought a device to extend my Wi-Fi network throughout my home. The device is as follows: TP LINK AV500 WIFI Kit.

The only problem is that on both laptops, it shows "limited connection" or the internet works for ten minutes and then stops and shows "limited connection." When the phone is connected to this network, it works very well. It's the laptops where it doesn't work.

I want to clarify that the internet works very well on the desktop computer. It's the computer connected to the live box.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hello
limited connection means that you are receiving a signal
but that it is too weak in "signal strength," or in "signal quality," to access the internet
so the PC that is connected to the box receives enough (it is connected by RJ cable, I suppose) or is very close to the box
your problem is therefore that for mobile devices connected via Wi-Fi, either you are too far from the box or there are floors or thick walls
your TP-Link device is either poorly configured or unnecessary since it does not improve the situation, or at least not enough!
the solution would rather involve compatible or recommended powerline adapters from Orange, are you sure that Orange advised you the adapters you have?
failing that, the only solution would be to bring the PCs closer to the box, obviously... or to run an RJ cable to each machine, either inside (you can stick it along the baseboards, run it under a staircase) or outside, through a door or window, or skylight, and even through the ventilation system
the only concern in this case is not to cut the cable!!! you can crush it (a little) when closing the window, as the core is still protected by the plastic of the cable
on the other hand, nothing to worry about the cold, frost, sun, rain
no more than a TV antenna cable, in fact
I used this solution in an attic (converted), 2 floors above the box, in a stone house (50 cm thick granite walls, difficult to drill) and additionally rented!
without any issues for years.. the cable passed through the living room window, went up along the wall to the attic where it went back in through the skylight, once the length was adjusted, and with a bit of slack to move, no more problems!
RJ cables can go up to 20 or 30 m and more without perceptible loss!

and it should be able to be found cheaper (beware of shipping costs as well)
and if you need 20 m, obviously prices will go down accordingly

Hello,

Thank you for your detailed response. Yes, the TP Link kit is compatible with Orange. I had checked beforehand just in case.

I will try the solution with the RJ cable that you described to me. At least I will be sure to have internet.
