Hello, I’m looking for DIY enthusiasts who have already tinkered with the inside of a turntable. My turntable lights up when plugged in, no issues there
but the motor isn’t working; the platter is stationary with no drive. It's not stuck, but I can’t figure out where the problem might be
I initially thought the fuses needed changing, but on closer inspection, they are fine. The amperage is curious: 0.10A 71mA and the casing indicates 0.50A!
What could be the issue to look into and the common problems in this case
what would you test in my place? Thanks friends for your help

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 36.0

Hello
the classic issues with these turntables are:
  • motor blocked, stuck due to dried grease
  • belt that is broken (it happens)
  • if there's no belt (belt drive), the "rubber" of the roller has "melted" and thus drives nothing anymore, this is almost irreparable
