Hello.
For the past few days, Outlook has hardly downloaded any images in my emails. I haven't changed any settings, and in the privacy settings, the "don't download..." box is unchecked!
I'm hesitant to uninstall and reinstall Outlook, especially since I'm not sure it will solve my problem. Could this be caused by a virus or something like that? I just ran an ad-aware scan and a-squared is currently running a second one, but so far, the various small issues found have not changed the situation.
Thank you for your responses!

It's unchecked on my end, but it's not working... All the images in my hyperlinks are represented by a white frame surrounded by blue.
But when I forward the messages, the images appear; it's completely baffling. -
Hello
I am a Lotus Notes admin, but I also work a bit on Outlook.. we call this monitoring ;-)
So your problem is quite simple to solve, you just need to go to the right place ;-)
Open Outlook 2007: Tools Menu ---> Trust Center:
Uncheck the first box: Don't download pictures automatically.../Ne pas télécharger les images automatiquement...
Click OK and everything is good! :-D

I just had the same problem.
I solved it by opening Outlook Express, which also didn't have images.
__options__security__unchecked download images.
Outlook 2007 works and displays images.-
^^^^^^ WELL DONE! I've been having the same issue with Outlook 2007 for 15 days!!! Unable to see
the images, even from approved senders. I searched through all the options in Outlook 2007 without success. I would never have imagined having to change an option in Outlook Express for it to work again!… Again, WELL DONE (and thank you) -

I had the same problem, the images wouldn't display in Outlook 2007 under W7. I tried everything without results. Finally, I found the culprit! It was the installation of Internet Explorer 11. I uninstalled it, and magically, the images reappeared in Outlook.
Control Panel/Uninstall a program/View installed updates/Internet Explorer 11. Uninstall it and restart the system.

Same situation on Vista... + internet that is desperately slow after 2 consecutive visits. Need to restart very often. Scan, antivirus and other tests haven't changed anything... What to do?

Hello,
You need to click on "?" in the menu, then go to "Privacy Options" and finally "Automatic Download".
Just uncheck "Don’t download images automatically in HTML messages or RSS items"

Hello,
I've been having this problem since last night. No images, everything is in little squares under Outlook 2007 (not Outlook Express, the regular Outlook). The box "Don't download pictures automatically..." is indeed unchecked :-(.
Does anyone have another solution because the security options you mention here and there are not in the Outlook 2007 menu.
I think I messed up with Spy Bot, by accepting or refusing something. But I'm not sure.
Thanks in advance if anyone has an idea...

Hello,
I had the same issue, and I think I have finally found the solution... I hope it helps you :))
In Editor Options --> Tab: Advanced Options --> Category: Show the content of email messages --> Uncheck Show spaces for images --> OK
Have a good day.
