Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to stop an internal SATA hard drive from Windows, without physically unplugging it.
Thank you!

    Hello Lucky-Luke87,

Normally, the power saving settings hide the secret ;)

Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options > Normal Usage > Change advanced power settings > Hard drive

If you set the hard drives to sleep after a few minutes, unused drives will stop. As soon as you click on them, the respective HDD will restart!

Is this what you meant by “stopping an internal SATA hard drive from Windows”? If you're looking for a different result, feel free to give me a bit more detail so we can re-examine the situation together :)

    Let's see ;)
    Have a great week!

Thank you for your response ^^ But I have several hard drives (3 actually) and would it be possible to select only 2 among those 2?
