Old hard drive adapter?

Hello,
I would like to connect hard drives from a central unit from quite a few years ago to my laptop in order to recover the data and turn them into external drives.
I believe they are called SATA drives, but I'm not entirely sure as I haven't had a chance to look into it properly yet.
So my question is what type of adapter do I need to connect to the hard drive?
There are many different prices and models online, and some are not suitable for 3.5 models.
I find either complete adapters with a cable, I also find enclosures, or even simple mechanisms to plug in so I can connect a universal cable.
So what should I go for?

But apparently, according to the reviews, certain hard drives are not recognized, including the Barracuda brand, which is the brand of my drives. So this makes me hesitate a bit about the product, but it's true that from a practical and financial standpoint, the docking station could be nice.

Hello,

you need to determine whether the disk has an IDE or SATA connector

see this image

SATA at the top, IDE at the bottom. After that, you'll need a USB SATA and/or IDE connector depending on your disk's connector.

For a 3.5-inch disk, you need external power, as USB power won't work.

So it's very simple, I have one of each! However, my SATA is thinner than the IDE; in your photos, the two look the same, so I don't know if that changes anything, but it might just be a detail.
Yes, it seems to me that I read somewhere that 3.5 drives need more power than 2.5 drives.
Okay, so I need to try to find a set like that then, because currently, Amazon doesn't have any more.

On the other hand, I don't really understand how all these cables work, so I hope it will be easier when I see it all together or that there will be a manual, because I've seen others and apparently there are quite a few manipulations involved.

The thickness of disk 3.5 doesn't matter.

Why are all these cables, the data connector and the power connector different on the 2 disks? That makes 4 different connectors then ;-)

Ah yes, makes sense! Let's talk about the surprise of seeing all the components ^^
Is there a set with the "French" electrical plug, let's say, and not the European one? Because on eBay there's the same lot but it always has the European plug unless I should also get an adapter for it =)
