Hello, I have a problem with my Demo Geant HD 2500. Actually, I lent it to my cousin and he deleted the Astra satellite from the receiver; it’s no longer there when I press the SAT button on the remote. So I would like to know how to restore the Astra channels. Thank you for your response.

Good evening,
Here is a copy-paste tutorial that you could have found on the Web
Geant GN 2500 HD NEW
1- Go to menu/setup/factory reset/all and ok
2- Perform the latest update for Geant GN 2500 HD NEW
Updates done via USB (ok)
3- Plug in the WI-FI key
4- Go to Wireless settings
5- Find your box (press ok on the remote)
6- Enter the WI-FI password for your box
(wait for the successful IP message)
7- Press the MENU button on the remote
8- Go to the Expansion section
9- Go to Server (look for server number 40 GSHARE Connect)
10- Go to installation then antenna settings
11- Search for channels via satellite

Re, anyway, to find your channels, you need to go through points 10 and 11 of the tutorial...
Are you sure your satellite dish is not misaligned, and that it is correctly aimed at Astra...? Otherwise, you won't have any channels.

The tutorial is what I wrote to you in my first response..
-- You say:
If that's not the case, you might not receive anything..
-- You say:
my cousin and he deleted the Astra satellite from the demo, is that what you're blaming him for..? So you should be focused on the ASTRA satellite, if I understand you correctly..?
If that's not the case, you might not receive anything..
The explanation is provided in my Post No. 7
Transponders are automatically found when you SCAN the satellite, but for that, you need to have already located the satellite position in front of your antenna, so you have to have the right orientation... otherwise, nothing...
On the other hand, the list of transponders can be found on the internet... you just have to enter them into your decoder...
Here is an example http://www.satage.com/fr/sat/Astra19.php
and another one https://fr.kingofsat.fr/pos-19.2E_fra.php

Hello,
Your theory might work if the decoder still had its settings for the ASTRA satellite...
Unfortunately, if they have been deleted, you can no longer count on it..
So first you need to adjust your dish exactly to the satellite at 19.2° and get the best signal possible before you can set your channels on your decoder.. The opposite is not possible.
Orientation by trial and error is not possible; you need a suitable measuring device for that. The red SF-500 for example https://www.amazon.fr/HD-Line-SF-650-Pointeur-satellite-Batterie/dp/B00NC1FP1S/ref=pd_cp_ce_2 and not another color.
An article talks about this https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-11204239-pointeur-satellite
You can choose the satellite and also a particular transponder.. with this you find the right setting, to perfection..!
It's around 60 euros.. (those for 20€ are useless) you can recoup the cost by making adjustments for others and asking for a small fee; after a few, you'll have paid for your device. It's a suggestion.

re,
Well, it's up to you, but you asked for help on this forum to be guided on implementing this demo, we've provided you with everything possible for you to do it and also explained things to you, at least you will have learned how the process works... without having accomplished it.
If your installer is nice to you, that's great and your issue will be resolved.
I wish you good luck.
If it's finished, don't forget to mark the topic as resolved.
