Hello,
I did some research on the internet, and I only found this: https://www.generation-nt.com/reponses/numero-chronologique-document-entraide-277846.html
But even by following the instructions, I can't get it to work.
Specifically, I would like to create Word files in which an incremented number would be automatically added upon the creation of the document.
The tutorial mentioned above provides the steps to follow, but apparently for a version prior to Word 2007. As a result, I have differences in the interface, the document format, and especially when I open a document based on the created template, I get a message informing me that "macros have been disabled."
Given that the macro is supposed to assign the incremented number upon opening a document and that macros are disabled by default, I was wondering if that wasn’t the reason why it wasn’t working?
If anyone has an idea on how to fix the problem or another solution, I’m open to suggestions.
Best regards.

Hello Moana
You made a good choice :) a troubleshooting for Anacoluthe is what's best under Word
He had written his solution here on faqword, you have it step by step with the menus by version
