Issue with automatic increment in EXCEL

Hello,

I have a problem with a table in EXCEL 2003.

I have a column where I want to automatically sum the previous values. To create a cumulative total.

I was given the steps to follow before and I used to do it well, but now it doesn't work anymore.

Specifically:

I have a column E with values, E1=1, E2=2 ...
A column G where I want to see G1=E1, G2=G1+E2, G3=G2+E3

Before, I would enter the formula in the first cell and the second, then I would drag the little cross in the bottom right corner, and the formula would adapt and automatically give me my cumulative total.
Now, it doesn't. If I have 10 in E3 and I drag it, it shows the same thing everywhere.
Even though the cell contents adapt the formula.

I've been racking my brain, and I can't quite figure out why this is happening...

Thank you in advance for the time you are willing to dedicate to me.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.16

go to tools => options => calculation and check that you are on "automatic"
and not on manual
