    Hello,

    Since Office 2000, this has not been possible, but Libre Office is capable of opening a PowerPoint file.

      LibreOffice opens Microsoft PPTs perfectly; only macros may pose problems.

      I add that Impress from LibreOffice or OpenOffice is more efficient than PowerPoint.

      I once rescued a very large PowerPoint from a friend (90 slides) that was infected due to a sudden power cut during the save.

      It was impossible to open it on Windows or Mac with the Microsoft suite.

      With LibreOffice, I was able to reopen it and resave it in PPT format (Microsoft PowerPoint). We only lost the last slide, which had to be added manually.
