Hello,

I have a brand new hard drive in my laptop (which is only 6 months old) and I already have a problem:

When I try to shut down my computer, the message "an application is preventing Windows from shutting down" pops up. It doesn't cause any serious issues, but I would really like to know what this application is.

    Hello, it might be a gadget on the desk; close them all before shutting down Windows, or check in the task manager.

      Thank you for your suggestion, Vahona. I hadn't thought to check the task manager. But it's empty. Probably there was something open on the desktop. Thank you and have a good day.
