Hello,

I am working on a thesis, I was able to paginate from page 2, but the only problem is that all my pages have the same page number.
And if I change this page number, it changes the same number on the other pages.
Can someone help me?
Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 34.0

Hello,

are your pages separated by section breaks or page breaks?
If it’s a section break, check in the “Page Number Format” that the “Continue from the previous section” option is checked.

If that’s the case, make sure you’ve updated your Office. For example, if you have Word 2007, do you have at least the free SP1 or SP2 update? There was this issue in one version of Word.

I did it. I made a lot of page breaks and fixed the pagination, and it worked. I must have skipped a step.
Thank you all for your help.

Hello,

You need to go to Insert/Page Number / Bottom of Page and choose the desired style.
Let me know if this helped you. Best regards.

I already have the page number, but the problem is that they are the same numbers.

Is that a page number added by yourself?

No, no, it's when I did Insert - Page Number - Bottom of Page. The page numbers were automatically inserted and no matter how much I modify them, I still have the same page numbers on each page.

And by clicking on one of the page numbers, go to modify the header and footer...

Delete everything you put as pagination. (since page 1 is not numbered).
There should be 1 page break that needs to be removed (a page break that you must have inserted between page 1 and page 2).

Click on your page 1 then menu "Insert" / Click on the "page number" button, click on "from" and enter "1".

Hoping this helps you a little...

No, still not.. In fact, I start numbering from page 3, and when I insert page numbers, the third page is marked as page 2, the fourth page as 3... So on, except there is actually no page 1. And now, I want to modify it and mark it as page 1, and it shows page 1 on all the others. It had already done this to me a long time ago, and I don't remember how I did it..

That's what I did, but it keeps showing the same numbers on the other pages.

Remove everything you put as pagination. (since page 1 is not numbered).
There should be 1 page break that will need to be deleted (a page break that you must have entered between page 1 and page 2).

Click on your page 1 then menu "Insert" / Click on the "Page Number" button, click on "Start at" and enter "1".

Hoping to have helped you a little...
