Hello,
When I change the page number, all the pages change to the same number.
It often goes back to the starting point, as if the save isn't happening.
Does anyone have an idea where this issue is and how to resolve it?
Thank you, Maggie

Thank you Argixu,
Nothing has worked so far.
I'm working with Word 2010. When I use Help,
the instructions don't match...
Going back to how it works, I found
that there's mention of an icon - which corresponds to "same as previous" - to be disabled
and in another text, there's mention of the "Link to Previous" option.
I assume the solution is on that side because I've tried everything else.
Thank you for your generous attention.

Going to the footer
in the Header and Footer tools group, on the left, select Page Number
choose Current Position and select one of the templates.
Thank you very much, Raymond.
There is no need to use the insert page number function again.
