Hello,
After numerous operations, document overhauls, and consultations of tutorials (unsuccessful), I turn to the forum to solve my problem.
Every time I open my Word document, the layout changes. I have, among other issues:
Numbering of Title 2 and 3 all changes to 1.1, 1.2, etc. until the end of the document (the first level is not taken into account).
The table of contents in single line spacing, with no space before/after, ends up with spaces after, which shifts everything.
All my tables, which are also fully compressed (single line spacing, no space before/after the text), are all stretched after opening = space after each line of text.
I changed the styles: nothing
I modified the style of the table of contents: nothing
I created a numbering style: nothing
When my colleagues open the file, everything stays in place (we have the same version of Word).
Thank you in advance!
Best regards.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 84.0.4147.105

Hello
So it’s not the file that is the issue, otherwise the colleagues would have the same problems.
The simplest thing to do is to start with a repair of MS Office via the control panel => applications => Modify
Best regards

Hello,
For me, it comes from the document... I've never seen a "damaged" Word document that would do things like that.
You are talking about layout problems, but these are formatting problems, which is quite different.
You need to check which template your file is linked to and especially if the update is automatic.
To do this, under the Developer tab, click on Document Template. Is the "Automatically update document styles" option checked? If so, uncheck it and save your document.
It's important to know that when this option is checked, the document updates its styles based on the template. So if the document's styles have been modified, they will automatically revert to the ones from the template.
