I'm going to do a little UP of this topic because I'm facing the same problem; Freemake closes without starting.

I have followed all the previous advice but nothing works; I also downloaded the offline version but the problem remains the same, redirecting me to a PC cleaning site or asking for a donation:



I had version 4.1.5 which worked very well, and I made the mistake of replacing it with 4.1.9 which won't start!

This problem seems to be recurring with the latest version, and I can't find version 4.1.5; do you have a solution to revert to this old version? The links I found that mention this version all redirect to a download of 4.1.9.

This is my first message; I found the prompt to register on the site "Freemake video.com" where I wanted to download version 4.1.9 to replace the 4.1.5 that I had been using until now.

The installation went smoothly, but when I tried to launch Freemake, I got an error message:
"Freemake Video Converter has encountered a problem and must close....."

Despite several attempts, it doesn't work!

Do you have any idea on how to solve my problem; with version 4.1.5 everything worked perfectly.

Thanks again, I ran a MBAM scan and got rid of "candy" and everything works; this version 4.1.5 is really handy but I'm wondering about 4.1.9: is it a bug or a deliberate choice by the publisher? It's still strange!

Thank you for replying, I apologize for not being able to respond to you sooner. My problem remains the same; that is to say, I can't use the Freemake video converter software, it opens and closes immediately.
