Can't play my game >.

Hi!

So here it is, I just bought Pokemon X on 3DS, the card is read well and everything but when I click to start the game, it tells me:

-You cannot use this game card-

I would like to point out that I bought my console in France and I am currently in Canada so the game was also purchased in Canada...

Help please, I really want to play >.< é___è

    Compatible ... What does that mean? ^^'

    Anyway, the game runs well and everything, but it's just when I click on it that it says I can't use it.

    But I read that 3DS consoles are region-locked, so my French 3DS doesn't work with an American game ... ;_;

    Anyway, thanks for trying to help me! o/

      I also have a 3DS and I just tried to play my game "Nintendogs + cats" and it told me exactly the same thing (my game used to work) I'm so bummed :(
