Activate the intervalometer on the Nikon D5000

Hello everyone,
I recently want to do time-lapses with my D5000 to try something new.
While looking through the menu of my camera, I noticed that there was a built-in intervalometer, but it remains grayed out.
When I select it, a message appears: "This option is not available with the current settings"
I check the necessary conditions for it to work using the "?" on the camera, and from there I disable the bracketing, but nothing changes.
I read the camera manual, but it does not specify any configuration that would prevent the intervalometer from functioning, so I find myself stuck....

Being completely in the dark, I would like to know a configuration that would allow me to activate it.

My gear:
Nikon D5000 from 2009 (no A/S/M/P configuration or otherwise activates it)
Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8

I hope you can help me,
Brice,

Good evening! I found the answer by clicking on the camera help, it's about disabling burst mode as well as bracketing settings. The menu then reappears. In case it can help someone.

I looked quickly and didn't find anything. Is the battery fully charged? Is the flash not popping up?

The battery is fully charged (I also thought the problem came from that, but no).

I just reset the personal settings (in the personal settings menu) and still nothing...
But there may be another place to reset it, but I don't know where.
