How to display the date on the iPhone home screen

Hello,

I would like to see the date and time displayed permanently on the home screen of my iPhone, but I've been looking for a way to do it and can't seem to find it.

Configuration: Mac OS X Leopard (10.5.8) / Safari 5.0.6
