Hello,
The remote control for the SCHAUB LORENZ model LD 185-110 DWV no longer works, and they sell a universal remote. How do I program it, and is it compatible? Thank you

Hello...
Beware of "universal" ones that are only universal in name... many functions are inaccessible!
There are "replacement" remote controls, not necessarily more expensive and much more effective...
To find out if your remote is broken, look at the emitting diode through the viewfinder of a camera or a mobile phone in "photo mode": when pressing the buttons, you should see it light up... or not!

Great tip about looking at the remote through the screen of a smartphone or camera. I just did that and I saw the purple signal (which isn't visible to the naked eye). I conclude that it's not the remote that's faulty but the receiver cell of the TV. It doesn't help me out, but at least I have the correct diagnosis. Buying a universal remote won't solve the problem. That said, I only use the power button on the TV since it's connected to a TNT decoder, so I use the decoder's remote for everything else. Thanks again for this truly brilliant tip!
