Hello,
I just acquired the "evercap capture" USB key, I installed the software and found the key with a bit of difficulty, and now that everything is installed, I only get snow with some snippets of video but in black and white without sound. However, my VCR works; I tried it on the TV. I tried several settings but nothing works.
I have a few old tapes that I would like to save (nostalgia, nostalgia)
Does anyone have a solution to my problem?

Analog video transfer box
Hello, to transfer the content of an analog VHS, VHS/C, 8mm, Hi8 cassette or an analog video stream, you need to connect the camcorder or VCR or other device to an "external box" that handles the "hardware" conversion of the "analog stream" to "digital" and connect the box to the computer via a USB cable. The file is converted to MPEG2, a format easy to burn and compatible with all players, and allows for editing with "Studio"
Connect the box to the camcorder or VCR with a recommended S-VHS connection or composite (less good) (RCA yellow) and a cord for sound (2 RCA red, white). For the VCR, you need a SCART connection with an adapter or cable with "out" direction or with an in/out switch output S-VHS or composite RCA yellow (less good) plus sound, two RCA red and white outputs
Remember to select PAL to have color
I recommend the Dazzle box, either the "Recorder" DVD only or Video HD, Creator, or Platinum according to your needs if you want to "arrange" your films with titles and music

It can also be found second-hand on the web and resold when you no longer need it
There are exotic products like USB keys and 4 wires, cheaper but be wary as they often lead to troubles, reading messages from desperate members on the forum
