How to desynchronize an iPhone

Hello,
I have an iPhone 4 and my son has an iPhone 3. In order for him to put music on his phone, I gave him the password to my iTunes account. However, I don't know what he did (he also has access to my laptop), but I have a contact (who also has an iPhone) that sends me SMS messages, and my son also receives them on his phone. If my son sends an SMS to this contact, the content of the message shows up on my phone as if I had sent the SMS to my contact! I think there is a synchronization issue between my phone and my son's. So far, I only seem to have this problem with one contact. That said, I have a large number of contacts, and I’m not going to test each one.
For your information, regarding other contacts who have sent me SMS messages since my son’s manipulation, it turns out that the only contact I'm having this issue with is a contact who also has an iPhone.
Thank you in advance if anyone can help me because the SMS exchanged with this contact are of a personal nature, and I’m really troubled that my son can read our messages! :-(
Have a good day, everyone.

Hello, indeed this issue is related to the configuration of your son's iPhone. It is not a synchronization problem.
Your son most likely set up his iPhone with your Apple ID, and as a result, the two devices are linked through the Apple account. To Apple, it's like you have two iPhones.
When sending a text message between iPhones, it turns into an iMessage, and it is automatically the Apple ID that is used to send the message and receive responses from the correspondent.
On your son's iPhone, go to Settings, then Messages, then Send & Receive, and tap on the I next to your email address, then on Remove this address. This will resolve the issue.

Well, YES, you can indeed create an Apple account without a credit card.
This involves creating an Apple account, then erasing your son's iPhone and reconfiguring it with the new account. Your son will end up with a blank iPhone.

IF your son wants to retrieve your apps, he will need to connect his iPhone to your computer's iTunes (which has your apps) and synchronize what he wants.

In case of app updates, he will be able to benefit from updates by resynchronizing his iPhone with your computer's iTunes (which will have updated your apps), or he will have the option to update your apps directly on his iPhone by entering your iTunes password when the iPhone prompts for it (without any risk of mixing accounts).

IF your son wants to purchase apps but you don't want to enter a credit card in his account, there is always the possibility of buying iTunes gift cards from retailers.

To create an account, your son needs to already have an email address, which he will need to provide for the account creation.
You can create your son's account directly on your iTunes, launch iTunes on your computer, go to Store, and select Sign Out.
Display the iTunes store as if you were buying an application, choose a free application, iTunes will prompt you to either sign in to your account or create one, choose this option (create an account), follow the procedure, and when the credit card window appears, you should be able to skip this step or possibly select None for the credit card option.
His account will be created without a credit card. Retrieve the emails for your son's account and open the email that Apple sent to confirm the account.

Before erasing your son's iPhone, you need to back up his contacts: on his iPhone, go to Settings, then iCloud,
There are two possibilities:
Possibility 1: If your address appears in iCloud, choose to delete the account. The iPhone will ask for your password and then ask if you want to keep the data on the iPhone, answer yes.
Possibility 2: If no account is listed in iCloud, in this case, create the account by entering his account (the Apple account you created) and activate the contacts option.

Leave your son's iPhone "quiet" for 10-15 minutes so that the iPhone transfers its contacts to iCloud. Then go to the iCloud.com website, enter his ID, and verify that his contacts have been successfully transferred.
IF that’s the case, on your son's iPhone, go to Settings, General, Reset, and select Erase Content and Settings. The iPhone will ask him to enter his iCloud account, then the iPhone will be completely erased and will restart on the initial setup menu. Configure it with his account and activate Contacts during the initial setup procedure of the iPhone. The iPhone will be ready to operate with his account; all that's left is to connect his iPhone to your iTunes and choose what he wants to recover.
I tried to write to you as clearly as possible; feel free to ask me questions.
