How to save a contact on iMessage

Hello,
I can't send a message to a contact registered on iMessage but who is not "saved", how can I do that? This contact appears in red in the address

Configuration: Mac OS X (10.9.5) / Safari 7.1

    Hi, your post is not very clear, we do not save contacts in iMessage.
    To re-register a contact, open the Contacts app, tap the + in the top right, this opens a New Contact card and you fill out the card.
    Regarding iMessage, it only works if the contact has an Apple account.
