EBP Accounting: Unbalanced Balance Sheet Solved

Question

Hello, I am using EBP Accounting 2007 and my balance sheet is not balanced. While searching, I found that the problem comes from a depreciation account (281) that is not taken into account when calculating the balance sheet. By searching (again :=), I found that the calculation of the balance sheet is configured in the REGROUP.INI file. I modified this file to include account 281 and now, Victory, my balance sheet is balanced. However, last year's balance sheet is also not balanced. Same problem, a depreciation account (68112) is the culprit. Same solution, I included it in the REGROUP.INI file but this time, without success.  1st Question: Why do I have these problems? Are the accounts used (281, 2818 and 68112) the correct ones? 2nd Question: Why am I unable to balance last year's balance sheet?  PS: For the curious, last year I only used my accounting for entering transactions, the closing was done by an accountant on his system, and not on my accounting.  Thank you for your help ...

Hello, I am using the Ciel Compta software and I notice that my balance sheet is balanced. However, when I carry forward my balance (last year’s profit), the amount of my liabilities is less than the amount of my assets. My question: Why am I unable to balance my balance sheet? Hi,  In a balance sheet, there is no reference to a class 6 account (Expenses), regarding the success of class 2 accounts in the balance sheet, it's OK.  See you  DLA

Hi again,  In your accounting, it would have been preferable to use a class 2 account like 2811, 2812, etc., even if it means subdividing to obtain, for example, 28111, 28121, etc.  Now that you have inserted 281 on one line in regroup.ini, you may need to remove the accounts 2811, 2812 on that same line, in other words, all accounts starting with 281.  Before modifying a regrouping plan, I recommend making a backup of the original under a different extension...   Good luck with your prospecting   See you   DLA

Thank you for your quick and accurate response. The problem indeed comes from there. I used account 281, which is managed by EBP, as the sum of accounts 2881+2882+...+2889. I should have used account 2818 (for example) for my depreciation, which is for computer equipment.  I have therefore modified the current fiscal year by assigning account 2818 to my depreciation.  For the previous fiscal years, I was unable to modify the entries that are locked. I thus modified the regroup.ini file to ensure it takes account 281 into consideration in the balance sheet calculation and, as you mentioned, to be careful not to double count accounts 2881+2882+...+2889.  And indeed, account 68112 was not the culprit :=)  This whole situation cost me quite a bit of time after all :=(((  Frédéric Piard
