    hi,

To install the speed cameras or other points of interest, you need to install POI WARNER for a MEDION (around €30)

For that, check the website www.naviating.de

Once installed, you will find free speed camera updates (Basic version) on the website www.alertegps.com

When I connect my GPS to my computer, how can we tell if my GPS has POI Warner or not? Thank you for answering me.

I have a Medion PNA 150, I installed POI Warner. Everything works well. My problem is that when the battery is empty, I lose POI Warner and I have to reinstall everything with the PC. Where should I install POI Warner so that it stays in memory? Thank you

    Hello,
I also have a Medion Navigator GPS v 4.2 and I would like to know if I can update the maps, preferably from a free site. I'm not necessarily looking for POIs. Thank you.

      Hello,
I have POI WARNER and I went to the website alerteGPS.com to download the software, that's when everything went wrong! I have everything I need, but where should I install all of this, in which folder especially? Actually, if you could guide me through the process, it would be nice and would help me a lot.
Thank you and have a nice day

    Hello,

You need to install "ActiveSync" on your computer (if you haven't done so already). It is on a CD that came with your GPS. It allows you to explore the files on your GPS.

Once ActiveSync is installed, when you connect your GPS to your computer, ActiveSync will launch.

It may prompt you at startup to set up a partnership with your GPS. You should select NO and click next.

Click on the explorer icon (to explore your GPS).

Now, to install the speed cameras, you need to go to:

    My Flash Disk\Navigation\POIWarner GoPal-Edition\pois

This is where you copy the various camera files (.acs and .bmp).

    Best regards

      Good evening,
Indeed, I had already installed "ActiveSync", however, I didn't know about the partnership!
It's great that you pointed me in the right direction, as soon as I can, I'll give it a try and let you know the result.
Thank you very much and have a good evening.

      Good evening,
I also have a Medion GPS, but it's the PNA460, and I would like to know two things:

      - When I bought my GPS, CDs were provided, one of which is titled morePOI speedcams. Does it not contain that famous paid software…???

      - If so, is it the same method for installation???

Thank you in advance for your reply.

    Hello,
Here is the result of my trial, not great; here's what I did, I copied POIWARNER.EXE as well as the .asc and .bmp files into the "MY FLASH DISK" folder because I don't have the "My Flash Disk/Navigation/Poiwarner gopal-edition/pois" folder; so already there must be something wrong!!! And can you tell me how to see once they are installed?
Thanks in advance and see you soon.

    Hello,

    For Valérie

I misspoke or I was too quick.

Did you get Poi-Warner from www.navigatin.de? (Unfortunately paid)

If YES: when you registered, they asked you for different information about your GPS (brand, model, serial number, etc.). From that, you should have received an email with a code that you will need during installation!

If YES: connect your GPS to your PC and run PoiWarner.exe on YOUR PC (and not copy it to the GPS). By running this, it will copy various programs to your GPS for functionality (including the directory to install the speed cameras + Poi-Warner).

I believe that during this installation, a message on the GPS asks for a code for validation; this is the one you must have received by email and you need to enter it. If not during installation, it should prompt you for it the next time you restart the GPS.

That's it, normally Poi-Warner is installed.

Now, you can install the speed cameras (.asc and .bmp)

I hope I was clear in my statements.

    For Vincent? (vincepc)

Indeed, "morePoi Speecams" does contain Poi-Warner, but a lower-end version.

I think the installation should be the same as the one given above for Valérie (without validation code). Check if it's already installed on your GPS.

See if you can find the same paths (directories) mentioned in my previous messages using ActiveSync.

I preferred to buy the higher version. It offers more possibilities.

Go check the following site; it will help you with the operation of Poi-Warner (even if the menus are not the same)

Best regards to both of you

Hello, I just updated the fixed speed cameras on my Medion GoPal 500T GPS, everything went well but I read in one of your messages: ActiveSync starts.

It might ask you at startup to set up a partnership with your GPS. You check NO and click on next.

But I checked YES, what will change?
For now, I haven't tried it yet.
    Best regards

Comment savoir si POI Warner est installé sur mon GPS ? Et ensuite, comment mettre à jour la carte des radars et comment voir apparaître les nouveaux radars installés ? Merci si tu peux me renseigner.

    Hello,
I just acquired a Médion PNA 465 T and I'm having quite a few issues....
First, there are few instructions in the manual or on the CD.
    I installed Activesync...
I tested my GPS yesterday with a route, it’s OK but how can I get detailed instructions for all the operations because for now I'm groping around.. How do I set a speed limit, for example?

I previously had a NAVMAN ICN530 and it seemed simpler...
I'm not even at the installation of the speed cameras yet!!!!!

I think there must be a more detailed manual than the one I have to familiarize myself with all the functions..
Thank you for your help and have a good day.

Hi, I have a PNA 200 with Navigator 4.4 and I can't find any updates for it (firmware). Nothing on the Medion site... do you have any ideas about it? Thank you for your help.

      Hello,
To update the Medion Navigator, you need to upgrade to a higher version (5.0 - 5.1 - ...), unfortunately for a fee in most cases. The same situation occurs when updating the mapping, sorry.

Hi, I have a PNA 500T GPS, can you tell me how to copy the radar files and what (ACS and .bmp) means, as I think it must be the same as for the PNA 150. If you can specify the exact procedure, please. THANK YOU.

      Hello,

the countries are on the CD or DVD MapMaterial!

On this CD or DVD, there is a MapRegions folder that contains the files you need.
If you want all of Europe, you will need an SD card of at least 2GB!!!
However, the countries are divided into several files (there are 5 or 6 for France): you can transfer only those you need to your PNA based on the available space.
Install ActiveSync on your PC and connect your E3115
On the CD, open the MapRegions folder and select the files you need. Right-click and "copy"
Go to "My Computer" and double-click on Mobile Device, then on My_flash_disk.
There should normally be a MapRegions folder: if not, create one and open it.
Right-click and "paste": the transfer is long, even very long, depending on the number of files.
At the end of the transfer, disconnect the device and perform a reset.
