What is Apple Application Support used for and can it be deleted?

Apple Application Support is used to run applications that require it, such as iTunes or some other Apple software. It is not recommended to delete it, as it may cause issues with those applications.

Hello, if you have iTunes it seems that if you delete "Apple Application Support" you will no longer be able to use it, but otherwise you can uninstall it, but there is a specific order with the other Apple software, meaning for example if you uninstall iTunes to uninstall everything, there is a specific order, check here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925?viewlocale=en_US

They say to uninstall:

1. iTunes
2. Apple Software Update
3. Apple Mobile Device Support
4. Bonjour
5. Apple Application Support

Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or uninstalling them partially may have unintended consequences.
