Good evening,

I'm not a pro in IT, just a few notions.
I've been trying for several days to format my computer. I didn't make a CD at the beginning.
I've backed up all my data on an external hard drive.

What should I do now?

Thank you for your help

Angélique

    Hello,

Do you just want to format it or also reinstall the system? (if yes, which one?)

If it's just to format it, you can do it with gparted:

    Simple and community-based
    GNU/Linux Mageia :)

      Hello

We don't recommend having a novice format their PC as it could lead to a breakdown!!! Especially since you should know by now that everyone says "formatting" mistakenly...

It's an Asus, press F9 during the PC startup: choose EMS setup and follow the instructions...

I already pressed F9 but nothing happens.

I want to restore it to factory settings. I have already done one system restore, but it still doesn't work. I am using Windows 7.
