Sorry for taking so long to respond. Transferring all my data and reinstalling my software on my new PC kept me a bit away from the subject.

Anyway, thank you, the solution lay in the importance of the verb "tapoter"; personally, I kept my finger on the key during startup and it didn't work.

Thank you for responding so quickly. Unfortunately, this function key does not work, nor do any of those from F1 to F12.

With Win 8, you can't use any key during startup.
It starts very quickly and doesn't respond to any keys.

I have a hard drive (1TB) partitioned into 2x500GB. Why?

No, my request is much simpler.
I just want to access my BIOS. It’s a manipulation I’ve been doing for over twenty years on all the PCs that have passed through my hands. So far, pressing a function key or Escape during startup was enough, but on this model (ASUS X73B) there seems to be a subtlety that eludes me.
Similarly, I would also like to be able to choose my boot disk (HDD, USB stick or CD). This will soon become essential as I think Windows 8 will quickly be removed from my PC. But for that, I need to be able to boot from my Vista installation CD.

At startup, try pressing the DELETE key or DEL directly.
