re

WARNING: do you have nothing to save? (personal documents etc...)

you should have the choice in the recovery partition

1) restore to factory settings

2) restore the operating system and back up user data

see you

I chose option 2)
so normally user data is not affected...

I'm still waiting, I think this might take 1 hour... can you confirm?

See you later!

It's the only time the keyboard works by tapping the F10 key...

re

super

if you pass by here again, since you no longer have the backup DVDs, you can burn them

via the recovery partition

take DVD-Rs (you'll need 3)

Hello.
Try in the Control Panel, with Troubleshooting and > Set up a device <

PS. Frequently create a restore point! it solves quite a few problems.

Electrician by training, I confirm that it is directly connected to the 230V network and it doesn't go through an inverter... :)
See you later
PS: It's progressing, a new screen has appeared...

It's progressing again; new successive screens are displaying with progress bars indicating advancement from 0 to 100%, and the indicators on the keyboard are lighting up (the one indicating CAPS LOCK and the one indicating the switch to numeric).
So no worries, it's just slow...
Talk later!
