Hello,

I use my Linux server via Putty, of course, and also when I need VNC.
However, almost every day, when I enter my IP and validate, the error "Too many security failures" appears. I have to enter the command vncserver -kill :1 in Putty and then restart VNC.

How can I bypass this "security"?

Hello. I have already come across the link,

"To reset the blacklist, you simply need to not attempt a connection for a short period of time"

and what is said is false.
I use VNC every day, and every day I get this error message; I then have to kill the process and recreate it again, whether I wait 10 seconds or 10 hours.

Yes, but this message mainly says that your IP is blacklisted for a certain amount of time if you make too many consecutive failed attempts.

I don't know if that's what actually happened to you, but in any case, the first question I would ask myself is, "Is it normal that I got blacklisted?"

Then it says on this link that restarting your VNC server resets this blacklist, have you tried?

Good luck.

Hello. I don’t see why my IP would be blacklisted, I never get my password wrong.
And yes, of course, by restarting the VNC server I can access it, but I lose everything I had opened previously, which bothers me...

Take a look at the logs?
Is your PC with the VNC client compromised?
Is your VNC server up to date?
