Hello
I have an old laptop, an emachines g520.
Due to repeated bugs, I wanted to format the hard drive and I completely deleted the recovery partition. There was Windows Vista and I don't want it anymore.
I want to install Windows 7 but I don't know how to make the hard drive completely empty again.
For the record, F10 does not work.
Can anyone help me? HELP !!!

Hello
You want to install Windows 7, you've deleted the recovery so you won't be able to reset the PC, do you already have a Windows 7 license?
A crowded elevator will always feel different for a dwarf.

You might struggle even more with Win 7 on an eMachine... these PCs have low specs... I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm saying it's heavy for it, that the drivers are meant for Vista and not necessarily compatible with Windows 7... since it was never intended.
And definitely no high-performance games...!
Otherwise, you need to plug a DVD drive into the USB port and put the Win 7 DVD in the drive.... That's the best solution...
USB drives are complicated and often don't work.
