PC that lags on certain games despite a good config

Hello,
So this is the first time I use a forum and I hope my problem is posted in the right place :)
I own a laptop with the following config: i5-4200 2.5 GHz with turbo boost up to 3.1 GHz
GeForce GTX 760M
4 GB DDR3 L Memory
I bought this computer precisely to run some games, but the problem is that I play games with the lowest settings and I lag (COH 2, World of Tanks). However on War Thunder I have the possibility to run the game in high quality with FPS around 70-80 and I have very nice graphics unlike the others .
When I launch War Thunder I hear my computer running at full speed and it blows hot air, something it doesn’t do on the other games. It did the same thing on World of Tanks the first time I launched the game but it was only that one time ^^'
I’m a noob in IT and there may be manipulations that I don’t know...
Thanks for your answers

Indeed you’ve come to the right place =)
I think your graphics card isn’t default
to set it as default you need:

right-click on your desktop => NVIDIA Control Panel => Manage 3D Settings => there in Preferred graphics processor you select NVIDIA High-Performance Process/Made up: “High-Performance NVIDIA processor”

Let me explain quickly in plain words: your NVIDIA graphics card only kicks in for programs (games) that demand a lot of graphical power, so you just told the computer to start it for all programs

    Hope this helps

    bye
