Hello everyone,
I would like some opinions on my professional situation. I have just been selected for a digital advisor position. The job posting stated “Bachelor's degree +2 to +5.” I indicated on my CV and confirmed in the interview that I hold a Master's degree. In reality, I only have a Bachelor's degree and I am currently taking online courses to obtain a Master's degree. The company is asking for a photocopy of the diplomas before I start. I am well aware that what I did is very foolish. I wanted to increase my chances, even though I already had the required educational background.
I also don't know if it's wiser to refuse the position by finding an excuse, or to tell the truth to my employer? My fear is that they will say "We won't be able to trust you, etc."

You are solely responsible for your actions.
Don't count on us to decide for you what attitude to adopt now.

Tell them you are quitting without providing a reason.
This digital advisor position is lost to you.
And take your mistakes into account for future CVs. -
Yes, that's increasingly what I've been thinking. However, I don't think I would share the real reason; it seems risky to me. Then again...

Hello,
it's better to play the honesty card.
You're going to lose the position for sure, but anyway, if you come up with an excuse, you'll lose it too.
Try to explain what motivated you to lie on your resume and try to regain their trust... Well, it's definitely not a sure thing and there are high chances they won't take you back.
But at least you'll have a clear conscience... which won't be the case if you keep bullshitting them ;)
