I purchased several thousand euros worth of items on Cdiscount in the summer of 2019, including household appliances, small furniture, kitchen equipment, etc. Among the many items purchased, 3 turned out to be defective: 1) a manual fryer costing €15, 2) a rice cooker for €20, and 3) a pedal bin priced at €25. All 3 ceased to function after just a few days or weeks. These products are still under warranty, then...
Yet, I have been sending messages to customer service on the site every week for the past 6 weeks, I have contacted the same service by phone (premium number at €0.80/minute where it takes at least 10 minutes to reach someone), and no one has provided a concrete response to my issue, despite 4 written messages and 3 phone conversations.
Moreover, when you make a complaint online or by phone, the people you reach on the line have no power; they only relay messages and collect complaints. It’s pointless to get angry with them, they are not allowed to escalate to a superior, nor to process a refund, issue a voucher, no; nothing at all. They just collect and forward (poor things!), they are, of course, outsourced to a French-speaking African country.
For my part, it has been useless; no one has followed up. We’re talking about €60 worth of defective items while I have spent between €3000 and €4000 on their site, and Cdiscount doesn't even deign to respond to me.
A few remarks about customer service, in no particular order:
- On the site, it's impossible to declare my items as defective. You get shuffled from page to page, selecting options that never correspond to your reality. The idea, of course, is to discourage you from making your complaint.
- By phone, it's the same; you have to wait at least 15 minutes and choose from options that don’t match your situation.
- If you complain about the premium number, they give you a free number: 09 70 80 90 50
The climax of this story: two days ago, six weeks after starting these steps and complaints, without even a message of apology or explanation, Cdiscount credited me with a €15 voucher, which is four times less than the market value of the defective items I wish to return... This shows how little consideration they have for you.
For me, this is a caricature of an incompetent customer service that utterly disregards its clients and tries to discourage them in their efforts. Any decent customer service would have offered me a refund or a free exchange.
Cdiscount has wasted my time and money; I will not give them another cent.

Re:
Why insist on calling or sending emails?? Useless..
Switch to a registered letter.. The seller MUST exchange at no cost for what is defective..
See the Legal Guarantee of Conformity Consumer Code L217-4 to L217-14. Read before writing the letter..
Cheers
PS: Only valid if the seller is from the E.U.. If it's Chinese, forget it..

Honestly, I think you're exaggerating. I've been a customer for a long time, and either they've refunded my items or I've received them on time and on the scheduled date. Often, it's the delivery people who don't deliver; it's not Cdiscount. I've had this happen twice with dishonest delivery people, and Cdiscount refunded me for my items. So please don't spread so much propaganda. I even bought home appliances, and my dishwasher is still working; I've had it for over 10 years since I bought it from them. So stop saying nonsense; it's not nice.
I confirm that the Cdiscount site practices the dishonesty of a so-called "market" site.
In other words, they receive orders that are actually processed by small, sometimes unreliable vendors (in my case, the site AC DECO), take a commission on these orders, and ultimately tend to absolve themselves of any difficulties (in my case, a non-compliant product).
It is shocking that no one at Cdiscount (Casino Group) has the competence or honesty to respect the provisions of the Civil Code, as in this situation, they remain your seller liable for the obligation to deliver, and the general terms and conditions cannot contradict this.
Long live class actions that will allow us to punish these crooks of the new economy tomorrow. In the meantime, a boycott is necessary.
Note: Unlike a case of withdrawal, in the event of a non-compliant delivered product, the site must fully refund you; shipping costs included.
To those who understand (Cdiscount site monitoring), goodbye...

I too have had several problems with Cdiscount!
You should avoid buying from them... they are dishonest and their FIA-NET control is not up to par.
If I compare the merchant site LDLC and Cdiscount, negative reviews are rampant online for Cdiscount, while positive reviews for LDLC are clearly in the majority.
So run away before you need to contact them!
If Cdiscount's problems were limited to delivery issues, it would be one thing, but unfortunately their commercial policies go much further in disrespecting consumers and French laws.
You will find over 1000 complaints about this merchant at this address "que choquer?"

CDISCOUNT are thieves!!!
I bought a tablet a month and a half ago. It broke down. The only proposal from CDISCOUNT is to send the tablet back to China!!!
Yet it’s CDISCOUNT who sold me this tablet, not the Chinese manufacturer.
I have contacted them multiple times and they are dragging their feet without any proposal... as noted on many sites, they are THIEVES who operate a scorched earth policy that will not last... they’re not very smart...

I would like to know who you are to speak well of Cdiscount Kalimusic.Instead of getting angry and posting indiscriminately in order to calm understandable but disproportionate anger regarding the term used, re-read what is written; I am not speaking well, I am stating that the headquarters is known and is located in France.
An acquaintance had very serious problems with them, it was long and not easy, but she won her case. If you want, I can give you a list of sites with which you will never be able to do anything.
Everyone has a story with customer service, I do too; it was still a very well-known store and not far from my home. I do not make a generalization out of it, I do not flood the forum with insults, it happens; I am sure that they satisfy many other customers.
I wish you to find a favorable outcome with them.

“Reason and logic can do nothing against stubbornness and foolishness.”
I only bought from Cdiscount once, on the advice of a friend who had never had any issues.
The problem arises when the ordered product has a defect. It doesn't go as smoothly as they say on their website.
I ordered a "new" netbook that was supposed to come with a promotional offer.
However, the netbook had a manufacturing defect. And the issue is that you can't reach anyone reliable on the phone. You get Hicham and Séverine. Yes, they readily give you a (fake) first name, but you won't get a last name and above all,
THEY ARE INSTRUCTED TO MAKE FAKE PROMISES TO CALM YOU DOWN
and nothing gets resolved. I've called several times. Each time, I was promised a little more (to the point of becoming ridiculously unrealistic, by the way). But the result is that I'm left with a defective netbook, with no compensation, and I didn’t even benefit from the promotional offer (which I think I could have had since that's automated, if I hadn't listened to their fake advice).
SO CDISCOUNT, NEVER AGAIN!!!!

This site is not reliable at all; go to the stores and buy. You won’t have to pay delivery fees. If you pay by credit card, it’s Casino Bank that processes the payment, and if there is a dispute, you can no longer reach either Cdiscount or Casino Bank, otherwise, you’ll have to go to court, which you absolutely must do, and ask for damages of 1500 euros; otherwise, your claim in court will be thrown in the trash, even for 200 euros, go to court.
Cdiscount is not reliable...
You have to really want to lose a package!!!!
I have never received my USB key and customer service told me to go look elsewhere as if I had received it!
You'd think I signed for and took the key myself!!
Amazon is much more serious

Beware of the clearance sales, they played a bad trick on me recently. I bought a phone + case (supposedly) but when it arrived, the phone didn't work and the case was non-existent. I went on the website and informed them about the status of the order. I never received a response. And when I called them, they tried to pass me off to the manufacturer HTC (who, of course, wanted nothing to do with it) because it's a broken second-hand product they tried to offload on poor customers.
Eventually, I sent it back via registered mail (10 euros in lost fees) and then they refunded me.
Watch out for the after-sales service of this site. Personally, I will never buy from them again because they dangle slightly lower prices in front of you but sometimes you end up losing everything.

CDISCOUNT = A NIGHTMARE
they simply forgot to include the DELONGHI coffee machine and its accessories in the received package, I only received a small parcel with a juicer ordered at the same time and to top it off, the label on the package shows a weight of 12kgs400 whereas my juicer weighs at most 600g !!
and on the delivery note, it states that all the items from my order were inside the package!
the weight difference is enormous, I don't understand how such a gross error could pass the control in their warehouse..
long story short
2 phone calls and 3 emails later, in which I send them photos of the package (with the juicer inside as I received it) as proof that my large DELONGHI machine weighing 9kgs could not fit into such a small carton, well I receive an email stating that my claim for a malfunction was being processed!
anyway I had stopped ordering from CDISCOUNT because of problems like this in the past, in favor of AMAZON with whom I have never had any issues, I just wanted to support a French company in these tough times and well I got served!
I fear I will have to battle and waste a ridiculous amount of time to claim what I am owed, it's worth 299€ after all and I am disgusted with CDISCOUNT
to whom it may concern, avoid this site!

You just have to be wary of the ratings and comments because they are censored and manipulated.
It's a big site, so there's quite a bit of choice, and you can find interesting prices. However, there is a lot of false advertising. For example, when they promote the Cdiscount subscription for unlimited deliveries, they talk about free delivery without mentioning the minimum purchase. For my part, I don’t even know if the minimum purchase was instituted after my membership or if I was not informed of it.
Most of my recent purchases have been disastrous, even though I only (almost) buy Cdiscount products with numerous very good comments: a mobile phone that didn't match the description, a tempered glass that arrived broken, an animal transport crate that arrived broken, a bag of cat food that arrived torn despite the extra packaging (I think it was torn even before being packaged) but above all different from what I ordered! After that, I returned everything except for the last item because I was receiving my cat the next day, and I regret it a lot because despite the very good rating, the quality was really mediocre. I therefore decided to leave at least one comment to warn others, and everything became clear: I received an email from the moderators saying that they were sorry for this inconvenience but could not publish the comment! I put a much more nuanced comment, and I received the same email. Well, I now understand why the ratings and comments deceived me every time: because they are manipulated, censored!
In short, it's a bit of a scam. And it's a shame, I who don't want to buy from Amazon at all, I am disappointed like this with the French equivalent.

No,
I think it's the worst, actually CDISCOUNT is just an online platform that showcases products from sellers you will never know. The slightest problem and CDISCOUNT will tell you it's not me who is selling, contact the seller, but without you ever knowing who the seller is. Give it a try, click on an item and you will see, sold by, put the seller's name on société.com, you will never find it.

Hello, the site is reliable if you buy products sold by cDiscount.
Let me explain, other sites pay cDiscount to list their items on their site, but cDiscount is not responsible at all.
So when you are on the site, be sure to check that it says on the item "sold and shipped by cDiscount."
I know this because my husband works for a company that collaborates with them.

Cdiscount scam!!! Run away!!!
I placed an order on Cdiscount on 01/15/2021. My order was confirmed and paid for. On the 17th, I received an email informing me that the seller yeppon refused the order with no reason given. This is outrageous!!! Deceptive advertising that is highly questionable. How can Cdiscount allow such behavior from its sellers??!! I have been a customer for 12 years. Never again!!! Hello,
If the online sales platform is really unreliable and makes mistakes, report it to 60 Million Consumers, instead of beating around the bush. But you won't do it because there are too few of you complaining.

Hello,
I purchased a Makita grass trimmer which I discovered to be damaged when I received the package. I immediately alerted Cdiscount to inform them. The advisor who received my phone call and was supposed to take care of it failed to forward my complaint to Pro Racetools. A week later, I called Cdiscount again, and an advisor received my request and this time forwarded it to the seller. After two days of waiting, Pro Racetools asked me to send photos of the damaged part, which I promptly did. After a week of waiting with no news, I called Cdiscount for the third time, where I spoke to an advisor who shuffled me around different departments, and in the end, at 6:01 PM, I received a voicemail informing me that the customer service closed at 6 PM and asking me to call back the next day. I think Cdiscount is taking me for a fool; I spent over 15 minutes on the phone trying to untangle a matter for which I am not responsible. It’s true that at 70 cents a minute, Cdiscount is profiting off its customers, and at that rate, they are in no hurry to resolve issues. I wanted to be conciliatory; I kept the equipment, as I only wanted a replacement for the damaged part. Given the lack of willingness you show in responding to your customers, I am requesting reimbursement for my communication expenses—15 minutes at 70 cents, totaling 10.50 euros—and I wish to return the device and be refunded for my purchase.
I hope to be heard quickly before I file a complaint with the appropriate authorities.
Thank you for your response.
Two months later, I am still waiting for Cdiscount or Racetools.

Hello,
We don't have shares in CDiscount, we are answering the question posed.
Is this site reliable?
Yes, it is based in France and its parent company is well-known.
If the question were: "Can we encounter problems when ordering from this site?"
The answer would be: yes, like with other retailers.
All online shops experience issues with delays or customer service.
The fact that one encounters problems cannot lead to a generalization about the company; worse, it shouldn't prompt the use of terms that are better reserved for the numerous Asian counterfeit sites or other sites whose purely virtual existence serves to con victims out of money.
Best regards

I agree, there are problems everywhere. But I'm sorry to say this, but the reviews are skewed; they only take positive feedback. For example, I bought a vacuum brush and I gave my opinion, which was mixed. I said that you need a powerful vacuum, otherwise it doesn't work very well. The next day, my review was rejected, and I wonder what I said wrong about the article.?? They tell me that if I have a problem with the article, I should contact the seller. However, I never asked for that. But. I can tell you to give me more on the reviews on Cdiscount.
They are sabotaging themselves, they know it but are doing nothing to improve their customer relations (the mistakes, whether more or less intentional, and especially how they handle them)... and later they will surely complain about the situation... amazon has bright days ahead of it... it will probably buy cdisount in the long run to shut it down and its leaders will be happy... even if it doesn't outshine it, you can't compare a donkey to a racehorse (even if the donkey is French... for now....)
