Hello,
regarding the keyboard backlighting under Ubuntu 12.04 and 14.04.
the backlighting turns off right after the installation of the OS?
I have no explanations

Configuration: Linux / Chrome 34.0.1847.116

    The following command turns on the backlight 
    xset led 3


    and the following one turns it off: 
    xset -led 3
    15
