Hi everyone,

My little niece (21 years old) accidentally kicked the screen of her laptop while trying to step over it, and since then a pretty northern lights display has appeared on the screen (I didn’t see it, but that’s the description I was given).

Since this morning I’ve been uselessly searching on good old Google, all I find are panels for Asus X75VD-xxnnnx, but none with the exact reference ;-\

Not knowing anything about screens, I’m counting on your expertise to help me find the exact panel or a generic one that will fit this laptop.

Thank you in advance.

Hi franckyelodie, Thank you for the ultra-fast feedback. I’m off to contact them by email right away; my sound system is somewhat faulty ;-)) Have a good day to you as well and to the others, of course.

      Hi there,

So I contacted customer service by email to ask about the compatibility of their screen with the laptop references, and here’s their reply:
yes if it is a 17.3 non-3D screen with a resolution of 1600x900
It’s true that with that I’m making a lot of progress ;-\

But in the meantime I had my little niece via SMS and her dad apparently found a repairer in the middle of nowhere in their little village in the boondocks, who according to him would swap everything for €50... ;-\
I remain very skeptical about the price and the quality of the screen ;-(

Well, it’s their choice after all.

Thanks again to Franky or Élodie (the one(s) who helped me ?) for the lead ;-))

    Hello everyone,

Here’s me getting back to tell you that I found my happiness at MIPY COMPUTER.

In fact, I took the same LCD panel as the page above, but second-hand (1 pixel defective) for €90.

The company is based in the Toulouse suburbs, so I went to pick up the panel on site last week, after several very informative email exchanges, a warm welcome, a live panel test, packaging, payment. Nickel ;-))

The PC was delivered to me the day before yesterday, I proceeded to replace the panel right away (thanks in particular to the video tutorials) with no problems.

    Thanks to all the contributors.
