Epson Stylus SX400 Printing Issues

Hello,
I uninstalled my Epson Stylus SX400 printer thinking
I would resolve some small printing issues.
I believed that the computer would detect it and automatically reinstall it afterwards. But there's a problem.
I do see the exact icon (default) now displayed in the printer panel, but when I try to print, a message saying: error - printing in progress appears.

What should I do?

    I even think that the computer doesn't detect the printer because the ink levels aren't displaying...

    One should undoubtedly be able to trigger automatic detection, but how to do it?
