Philips FWM377 HiFi System: sound issue

Hello everyone!

This morning, when trying to turn it up louder, I heard a strange noise and now my speakers only work halfway. The speakers consist of two woofers. A big one and a small one on top. The big ones aren't working anymore, but the small ones are.
I've checked the connections, and they seem fine to me. Moreover, the fact that the small woofers work on both makes me think the connections are correct.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem might be?

    Hi.
    If the problem is indeed related to the increase, the cause is easily found: the fencing of the enclosures.
    Solution: buy others... AND stop pushing the sound so much.

      Yes and no. The issue with amplifier potentiometers is that they are preamps whose sensitivity is poorly respected, which leads to the saturation of the power amp and the risk of damaging the speakers as well. :-(
      I need to find the link that explains all of this well.

    - Adjust the volume.
    - Unplug the headphones.
    - Check if the speakers are properly
    connected.
    - Ensure that the exposed ends of the speaker wires are properly secured.
    - Make sure that the bitrate of the recorded MP3 CD is between 32 and 256 kbit/s with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz, 44.1 kHz, or 32 kHz.
