How to block incoming SMS on Smartphone?

Hi everyone,

I would like to block (...so no longer receive) incoming SMS from certain contacts and other unwanted ones (telemarketers among others).

I have a Samsung "Galaxy Trent".

Is there a procedure to follow?

If I need to download an app, I would also like a step-by-step explanation. I've never done this before...

Thank you in advance for your help.

Bernard.

EDIT: I know how to block unwanted calls or blacklist contacts...

It is simple and free.
It has a firewall and anti-theft function in addition to the antivirus function and a backup manager.

It features SMS/Call filtering by number and keywords (blacklist and whitelist).

To download it, just click on install and it will install on your mobile.

Thank you Known001.

I prefer Avast. Also, me and English, we're not really friends!

What is the procedure to download an app on my smart thing?

It is in French comodo, since I use it
Otherwise you need to go to the Play Store, then type comodo and finally touch install...
Hop it's ready, just launch it.

Yes, the page is in English, but the software is in French, so you can go ahead without any worries.

It's the main site, the app will be in French ;-)

Comodo or Avast (Beatles or Rolling Stones)
It's a matter of tastes and colors, both have the same functions.

I don't know if all phones have one built-in or if an operator offers it as a paid option, but if you have an Android, install Avast from the store; it does call/SMS filtering.

And because I use it, it works perfectly ;-)

Catch you later

Avast is an antivirus? Should I also install it on my phone? However, I don't go on the Internet with it.

My smartphone is only used for making calls, and maybe a few texts... and that’s it!

I just read the link above, suggested by rossi46du77. It looks interesting.

How do I download it on my phone?

Yes, it's an AV but this one is for mobile (Avast mobile)
so it's adapted according to ... it also includes call and SMS filtering and anti-theft features

Just because you install it doesn't mean you'll have to go online ;-)
it can just as well alert you about a dangerous file or a MMS too

For the anti-theft function, it's a separate module

You can locate, disable, and send a sound signal if you lose it
all of this from your PC after opening an Avast account

You need to look for Avast Anti-Theft in the store
see link for more info https://www.avast.com/fr-fr/free-mobile-security
