Hello,
I would like to upgrade my computer, which is currently running Windows Vista, to Windows 8.1. I already went to Fnac to show my computer's specifications to a consultant, who confirmed that my computer is compatible. I have therefore purchased the full version. However, I found out while browsing the internet that the upgrade from Vista to Windows 8.1 is actually a bit complicated.
I downloaded the Windows 8 upgrade assistant, which indicated the accounting programs and those that are not. It is noted next to these programs that an update is available.
First of all, should I perform the updates now or after the installation of Windows 8.1?
My graphics card is as follows: NVIDIA GeForce SE nForce430. Is it compatible with Windows 8? If not, what problems could that cause?
What procedure do you recommend for installing Windows 8.1?

Hello.
First of all, you need to back up your documents on a removable drive.
If your PC is compatible with Win 8.1, you need to proceed with the installation, but your hard drive will be formatted along with everything on it, or you can create a second partition to install Win 8.1, but you'll still have to reinstall all the software.
