Temperature and pressing time issues... and also support...

If your t-shirt is 100% cotton or natural fiber, it is very difficult for the sublimation to hold, especially if the fabric is treated with something anti-

The best wash durability is achieved on synthetic or blended textiles

Hello,

That seems perfectly normal. The drawing has flown away ;-)

Sublimation, noun:
Meaning 1 The action of transforming a solid body into a gaseous body

Best regards

it's more the dolphin that went splat

I washed it at 40° and when I took out the t-shirt, there was only a slight discoloration.

The t-shirt was 50% cotton and 50% polyester
I did another test with a 100% polyester, the color has slightly faded
for the temperature, I set it to 190° for 60 seconds

Ask the recommended parameters from your dye-sublimation ink supplier and which transfer paper they recommend...

Generally, it takes several tries to find the right settings.. that's why those who do sublimation don't like to use materials they're not familiar with...

For wash resistance, there will always be some color loss, especially if you wash immediately after!!.. wait at least a few days for the color to set

All sublimation markings must be done on supports with a maximum amount of polyester. Once sublimation has been performed, there's no need to wait a few days for the color to set... It is permanently printed, totally unalterable. At caricature [caricature-auto-moto.com], we use this process all day long without any issues. There's no point in trying it on 50% cotton 50% polyester supports, as the percentage tells you, half will wash out on the first wash....

I completely agree with you, Lionel, it's useless to try sublimation on mixed media, it doesn't hold up well. I understand that you work at Caricature Auto Moto, and I'm familiar with your products which are perfect! A 100% polyester sports material for printing cars or motorcycles is flawless!

We can now treat cotton before sublimation, but this is not within the reach of an individual.
