Hello,

Can you give me a little help? I currently have a HP Compaq 6005 Pro SFF PC, and I would like to get a Nvidia graphics card that allows for display on 3 screens at the same time.

Two problems arise,

1) Which graphics card to choose (Mini format)
2) Do I need to change the power supply of my PC if I add a graphics card? If so, where can I find one (still in a format for a small PC)?

I hope someone can give me a hand.

Thank you very much in advance!

Sincerely,
Internet2009

    Good evening,

I will need to know the current configuration of the PC (processor, motherboard, RAM, and power supply) in order to determine if it's really necessary to make this addition.

Thank you for your response, here are the details of my PC:
RAM: currently 4GB (can be upgraded to 16GB)
      Motherboard: HP 3047h
      Processor: AMD Athlon x22 215 processor 2.7GHz

      My power supply is 240W
Previously, I had already added a PNY Nvidia GT610 1GB DDR3 graphics card, but the problem is that it doesn't support triple screens.
In fact, I use this PC for a video projector, and I would like to have two screens + my projector (to extend the desktop on screen 1 and the projector, and on screen two, clone the output of the projector, see what the projector is projecting).

In that case, why not go for a VGA switch?

Will I not lose quality in my projection?

Not at all, it just allows you to switch from the screen to the video projector by pressing a single button!

Sure, but can I display my image on both the screen and the projector at the same time (that's what I'm interested in) :)

You go to the display settings and apply "clone" mode ;)

Ok... but I actually wanted to take the opportunity to get a new graphics card with 2GB of RAM, but regarding my power supply, I'm not sure if I would be limited or not :S

The power supply is too limited for a more powerful graphics card!

In conclusion, would it be great or is the process terrible?

It's not great, but if you don't want to spend €500 on a new setup, that's understandable :)
After all, the power supply and graphics card will still cost a bit more than €100!

Yes, I suspect so. Is the Acer processor better than the HP one?

Performance-wise, they are almost the same!

Thank you for your response, but regarding the external ports, the grille of the HP doesn't come apart and the grille of the Acer doesn't match the position of the ports.

I need to check that... Regarding the graphics card, which model would be the most suitable? And will my processor allow me to stream in HD without any issues?

    Hello

    Acer => AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ ( level 45 / 48 )
    socket 939

    HP => AMD Athlon II X2 215 ( level 67.7 )
    Socket AM2+ ; Socket AM3
    RAM = DDR3

see if you can put the motherboard from the HP into the Acer ???

both motherboards must be micro ATX

    later
no links on web pages in English, I'm already stealing enough on my own

For the HP Compaq 6005 Pro SFF
I did not find the motherboard reference in the documentation

However, I just found a rear view of the PC
      http://zapp5.staticworld.net/reviews/graphics/products/uploaded/350595_g1.jpg

Indeed, the openings for the output connectors are cut into the rear metal casing

The grille is not an essential element
It is to cover the gaps between the output connectors

Now it remains to be seen if the HP motherboard has its mountings to the micro ATX standard

      .
allowing the use of display on 3 screens at the same time
      .
      This remains a problem
With an AMD Athlon II X2 215 ???
It is still necessary for the graphics card to have sufficient display resolution
The number of pixels needs to be provided

      3 screens in full HD definition 1920 x 1080 make 6,220,800 pixels
      In 2560 x 1600, that is 4,000,000 pixels

      In 2 VGA 1440 x 900 and one in DVI ???

2 VGA screens on one VGA port, I have never tested
