Recover an unsaved Inkscape file

Hello,
I am working on creating a poster with Inkscape and it seems I didn't save it properly. I only have the old version; all my work from the day is gone... Help! Is there a way to recover a file that was worked on but not saved?
Thank you for your response!

    New in version 0.47
Inkscape automatically saves backups if desired.
This feature can be enabled in the Saving section of the Inkscape Preferences dialog.
The interval between saves, the maximum number of saves to keep, and the storage directory for backups can also be specified here.

    Excerpt from http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html_fr/File-Open.html
    = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

    To be exploited.

    Hello.

"apparently I didn't save it properly"
    There are no half-measures.
It is either saved or not saved.

"Is there a way to recover a file we were working on that hasn't been saved?"
If your software doesn't perform automatic backups while you're working, the answer is no.

    Have a good evening.

    Hello,
In fact, "I thought I saved it" would be more accurate;)
What’s strange is that he apparently regularly makes automatic backups but I can’t find them...
    See you later,
