Slight blank issue with VLC

Hello! For some time now, when I play a video with VLC and go fullscreen, the whites on the screen appear much more... white. When I return to my normal screen, the colors are really more vivid, the whites are saturated, and the colors return to normal about 20 seconds after shrinking VLC.
So, could this be a bug in VLC? Or is it just my computer messing with my color balance?

    Try resetting VLC?

    -tools
    -preferences
    -reset preferences

      I tried, it doesn't work... [For more info, I am currently on Windows 8, and VLC started doing this overnight.. and it seriously begins to give me a headache to see the whites change like that]

      Uninstall VLC and reinstall it. BUUUUUT the happiness was short-lived since my whites are messing up again. Oh joy.
